Sean O'Malley (17-1 MMA, 9-1 UFC) has dethroned Aljamain Sterling for the bantamweight title with a second-round TKO at UFC 292 in Boston. This knockout has often been compared to Conor McGregor's knockout against Jose Aldo at UFC 194.
Fighting out of Montana, USA, Sean has achieved his gold by stunning whole MMA community including his opponent Aljamain Sterling.

According to Jones, O'Malley is a rising star and he also possesses similarities with the former two division champion Conor McGregor.
Moreover, both Conor and Sean have impeccable striking abilities to take their opponents down and they have represented their striking prowess in their championship bouts.

Jones on Sean O'Malley and his future
On the OverDogs Podcast, Jon said, "Sean O'Malley- I'm excited about him- he has the look. He reminds me a lot of McGregor. He's really raw and authentic, he has that kind of rags-to-riches story that everyone appreciates, especially in this country. I like him. I like him a lot, and I really want to see how far he can take it."
He further said, "O'Malley, he's looking like the total package. I'm going to be turning into his pay-per-views for the next couple of years."

Jones is immensely impressed with Sean and has his intention on placing bets on him and remain a viewer of his pay-per-view fights in the future.
He believes that Sean represents UFC's future and everybody is excited to witness the era of "Sugar" Sean O'Malley.
Getting such praises from one of the greatest of all time is no less than a reward for Sean O'Malley. It will be very interesting to look how he defends his title in his upcoming fights.
